As a candidate this personal information can include name, date of birth (if under 22 years) address, email, phone number, employment history, education history, job requirements, professional skills, reference details, and personal interests. As an employer this personal information can include name, job title, company name, address, email, phone number and industry.
The personal information obtained from you will only be used for the following purpose:
- Registration with The Orkney Employment Consultancy
- For use during any recruitment process which you consent to be part of
Candidates - How will we use the information about you?
We will only use the information you have given for recruitment purposes. We will never pass on your information to any third party without your expressed consent.
Once registered we will check with you whether you wish to be registered for job alerts only, apply for a specific vacancy or have the Orkney Employment Consultancy look for work on your behalf.
If you have registered with us for job alerts only your information will be held on the website and not entered into our registered candidate database. You can remove your details from the website at any time by logging in and closing your account.
If you have registered to apply for a specific vacancy only any information submitted as part of the application process will be deleted after 12 months in line with legislative requirements.
If you have registered with The Orkney Employment Consultancy so that we can look for work on your behalf we will contact you about vacancies that match your requirements and we will ask you if you wish to submit your CV to the employer. We will always seek your permission first and will never pass on your personal information to an employer without your expressed permission.
Employers - How will we use the information about you?
We will only use the information provided by you and your organisation for recruitment purposes. We will never pass on your information to a candidate or any other third party without your expressed consent.
Access to your information and correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please write to us using the Contact Us section of the website. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. As part of the General Data Protection Regulations it is important that we ensure we hold accurate and up to date information. Our data regulation process is to contact you no less than every 12 months to ensure that you still wish to be registered and that the information we hold is accurate and up to date.
