Optical Receptionist

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide a welcoming and professional point of contact for all patients
  • Book appointments and complete general practice administration
  • Assist with spectacle collection and repairs
  • Prepare paperwork for eye exams
  • Input data into practice management system / accounts
  • File patient record cards
  • Process transactions and cash up
  • Maintain and replenish stock levels
  • General housekeeping duties

 

 Position requirements:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Friendly approachable manner
  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
  • Desire to begin a career within the Optical Industry
  • High standard of patient care
  • IT experience – training will be given in practice systems
  • High level of confidentiality

 

On offer: 

Salary:  Starting salary dependent on experience

Hours: 35 Hours, Monday to Friday 9-5

Pension:  Employer Pension Contribution

Benefits:  Provision of summer and winter outfit

Holidays:  29 days Annual Leave

Progression:  Optical Assistant (following successful completion of distance learning)
