EMEC is the world’s leading test facility for wave and tidal energy converters, and has supported more real-sea deployments than any other site in the world.
We continue to grow and diversify, and we’re excited to have been awarded €11 million to progress the Integrating Tidal energy into the European Grid (ITEG) project. Led by EMEC, ITEG brings together partners from the UK, France, Belgium and the Netherlands to develop an integrated solution for generating clean predictable energy.
To support the successful delivery of the ITEG project, we are recruiting an Operations Technician to assist in the assembly, installation and commissioning of all hydrogen assets. You will also deliver planned service and maintenance for all hydrogen equipment and ensure all activities are based on hydrogen and electrical safety standards in accordance with EMEC’s H&S process.
Educated to HND or equivalent in Electro/Mechanical Engineering, you should have at least three years post educational experience with the installation, commissioning and maintenance of complex machines or plants.
Based in Orkney this full-time post is initially for a fixed term to 31 December 2020.
