Local Banker (Personal Banking & Customer Service)
At TSB we look for a different kind of person to work here. The kind of person who’s interested in working in a culture that’s all about people. Supporting and encouraging each other through good times and bad and helping the communities we all live in, to thrive.
That’s why, unlike other banks, we don’t have sales targets for anyone who works here.
Let’s be honest; customers want the personal touch. They want to feel the difference. And, that’s exactly what we need you to give them. How? By getting to know about them and their unique needs, whether that’s by greeting them at the welcome desk or serving them at the counter. By going the extra mile and giving them financial support that might even change their lives. By building a great relationship, adding that personal touch and making them feel that TSB is the only bank for them.
To be successful as a Local Banker in TSB a background in financial services or banking isn't essential. All we ask for is a talent for talking to people and a flair for understanding what they need and identifying the best way to support them. Oh, and a real desire to help by answering questions, sorting out problems and recommending different services or products. And, if you're great at juggling the necessary admin with time spent dealing with customers, you’ve got exactly what we’re looking for. In return, we’ll develop you in the role, by providing you with a plan to work through our accreditation programme, which means you’ll easily be able to see your career path in TSB.
But that’s not all.
We’ll provide an inclusive culture where there’s a real sense of belonging and working towards a common goal. You’ll become a Partner of TSB. We’ll give you all the support and training you need to gain expertise of our financial products. You’ll also enjoy a range of benefits that include a pension and 22 days leave plus bank holidays. To top it all off, our flexible benefits allow you to opt for a monthly cash payment (equivalent to 4% of salary) or pick from a range of options that include Holiday Trading, Flex Card for discounted shopping, Dental Cover and Private Medical Benefits.
Our full time roles are 35 hours per week and hours of work are between 8am and 6pm Mon - Fri.
