Job Description


EMEC is the world’s leading test facility for wave and tidal energy converters, and has supported more real-sea deployments than any other site in the world.


We continue to grow and diversify, and we’re excited to have been awarded €11 million to progress the Integrating Tidal energy into the European Grid (ITEG) project. Led by EMEC, ITEG brings together partners from the UK, France, Belgium and the Netherlands to develop an integrated solution for generating clean predictable energy.


We are looking for a Hydrogen Development Officer to support the development and delivery of EMEC’s Hydrogen strategy.You will work in partnership with EMEC clients and other external stakeholders to gather market intelligence, identify funding or commercial opportunities, attend meetings and contribute to business development proposals.

Educated to degree level in marketing, business or related technical subject, you will have excellent communication skills with the ability to problem solve and anticipate issues in advance, providing solutions and recommendations to Senior Management.



 Based in Orkney this full-time post is initially for a fixed term to 31 December 2020.
